Talk on Basic Training

THURSDAY 20th APRIL 2023 Chris Palmer will be taking us through an introduction to the basics of running and how fitness works.

A guide on how to start running or improve, aimed primarily at those who are new to the sport or those who are struggling to improve. Not only those who want to race faster but also for those at the back of the group who want to be the one in the middle able to keep up and chat .
We will cover the principles of how training improves fitness , explain heart rates and the importance of varying pace. We will also discuss the many mistakes I see people make and how to make the most of the time you have to train.
