💙💛 Bitton 5k series (7:30pm) 💙💛

Since the first race in 1998 the 4 Race series has been run under an ARC race licence. Although this has worked well, times recorded by club runners do not count towards their runbritain Power of 10 handicap.
Given the vast majority of the Bitton 5k Series runners are club runners the Bitton 5k organisers have decided that the first race in the 2024 series on May 8th was run under EA licence/rules and therefore will count towards a runners Power of 10 handicap.

  1. Race HQ open 18:30 to 19:00 for number collection.
  2. Please Note Race HQ is approx 1 mile from the start
  3. Race HQ will close 1hr after after the last runner finishes

N.B.  Races 2, 3 & 4 in the series to be held on June 5th, July 3rd & August 7th will be on the day entry only from Bitton Station, Bath Rd, Bitton, Bristol BS30 6HD. Cost £10/£12. These races will not be chip timed. 

Cash Prizes will be awarded for each race in the series as follows:
  Male 1st, 2nd & 3rd. (£25, £15, £10)
  Female 1st, 2nd & 3rd. (£25, £15, £10)

Race Series Prizes:
Runners are automatically entered for the series on completion of 3 of the 4 races.
Runners who compete in all 4 races will have their best 3 times count towards a series prize. Only one prize per runner.

Overall Series Prizes:
Cash prizes will be awarded as follows:
  Male 1st, 2nd & 3rd. (£50, £30, £20)
  Female 1st, 2nd & 3rd. (£50, £30, £20)

A non-monetary prize will be awarded to the first 3 runners in each of the following age categories.
  Male & Female Junior (15yrs to 17yrs)
  Male & Female Vet 40
  Male & Female Vet 50
  Male & Female Vet 60
  Male & Female Vet 70
  Male & Female Vet 80

The course has been certified at 5k in length and is an out & back race along the tarmac cycle path.
